This place is a diamond in the rough. Pizzas are handmade with excellent ingredients and the staff is friendly. We had a Greek pizza and it was good enough to make Zeus smile.

OK, first thing is that I am pretty picky about my pizza. I live in a college town where there are pizza places all over, and quite frankly most of them taste like cardboard, including one location that all of the hipsters rave about.
So color me surprised when I was served up a pizza from Sam's Pizza House that absolutely knocked my socks off. We ordered a large (16") Combo pizza, substituting one of the toppings out for another (green peppers for ham... my mum doesn't like green peppers on her pizza because they come across to her as slimy. There is a small up-charge for swapping out a veggie for a meat, however).
Note that the location does not really have a lot of seating, just some stools around the perimeter of the waiting area where you could eat if you had no other choice. It would be nice if they had a bit more room and a couple of small tables inside to sit down at, but sometimes you are space constrained.
We got the pizza back to our motel room and opened it up, realizing that it was way more pizza than we were going to be able to eat in one sitting (not a big deal... we had the rest for lunch the following day)
The pizza... just wow. They really pack the toppings onto a pizza, and the cheese was perfect. Beautifully browned on the bottom, and the sauce was not so thick that it got sloppy. We weren't eating pizza... we were eating a pie, a beautiful savory pie. -

The donair here is absolutely insane. They have been in business for over 20 years. If you are in down this is a definite place to go to to

Best pizza in town hands down! The pizza was great and filling, even warmed up the next day it was still great. The only issues I had was the price was a little on the high side and the delivery time was fairly long even on a week night.

I have to eat here every time I am in Truro. It's one of the best donairs to be had in Nova Scotia and the pizza and garlic fingers are good too. I think the menu is overpriced for what it is, but for that good Nova Scotia donair and garlic finger experience I'll go ahead and pay a little more to have it done right.
